The female truck drivers of Ukraine

In development

The Female Truck Drivers of Ukraine is a character-driven documentary about women in Ukraine training to become truck drivers in the midst of an ongoing war. As men are called to the front, new opportunities are opening up in professions that have long been closed to women. The film follows some of the first women stepping into a world shaped by prejudice and deeply rooted ideas about who belongs there.

Through their stories, the film portrays an everyday life defined by war, work and rapid change. It is an intimate portrait of pioneers who are not only learning a new profession, but also becoming part of a broader social transformation. The film captures how historic shifts take shape in people’s lives, as they are happening.
